The National Park Service selected a former barracks, later converted into offices for the Nike missile program, as ancillary office space for interim use during the conversion and rehabilitation of this historic military site on the north side of the Golden Gate. We designed the tenant improvements for office rehabilitation and accessibility upgrades. Because the building dates from the period of significance of the site, the design conforms to the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation. The NPS decided to preserve some of the Nike-era features and we incorporated them into the design.
